Microsoft wyłączy w czerwcu trzy programy certyfikacyjne

Microsoft skupia się na szkoleniach i certyfikatach opartych na rolach, co ma pomóc w zdobywaniu umiejętności oraz doświadczenia w coraz bardziej konkurencyjnym świecie, którego centrum stanowi chmura. Od czasu obrania tego kierunku w 2018 roku do portfolio giganta trafiły 34 certyfikaty z kategorii Azure, Modern Workplace i Business Applications. Skupiając się na tej ofercie, Microsoft postanowił wyłączyć część certyfikatów, a konkretnie — możliwość podchodzenia do egzaminów pozwalających je uzyskać.
Pozostałe egzaminy związane z Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) i Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) zostaną wyłączone 30 czerwca 2020 roku. Do tego czasu nadal będzie można zdobyć certyfikat. Te już zdobyte pozostaną z ich posiadaczami po tej dacie, jednak zostaną przeniesione do sekcji "nieaktywnych".

Jako że Microsoft skupia się na rolach, nie będzie certyfikatów związanych bezpośrednio z tymi produktami, ale ich elementy będą zawierały się w certyfikatach dedykowanych różnym rolom w obszarach Azure Apps & Infrastructure oraz Data & AI. Zmiany nie obejmą certyfikatów opartych na produktach Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) ani Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA).
